When using vi/emacs on z/OS, is local
echo on the terminal switched off?
It seems to me that when entering
ESC g to go to a particular line number,
you don't want a "g" to be entered
on the screen at the current cursor
position.
So does the application on the host
(z/OS) echo typed characters? If so,
how does the application manage to
switch off echo? What's the API call
to do that?
Thanks. Paul.
